I ate the WHOLE thing...
Cider Mill Martini
This is the essence of autumn; sweet and sharp apple cider, warmth from whiskey and a spike from a cinnamon-ginger syrup.

Ingredients
For One Cocktail:
For Eight Cocktails
Cinnamon-Ginger Syrup
Instructions
  1. Start by making the syrup: combine the sugar, water, cinnamon and ginger (I don’t bother peeling it) in a saucepan (1-quart is fine). Bring it to a boil over medium heat, and then turn the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Let it cool so the flavors can steep and infuse fully into the syrup before straining through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher or container.
  2. To make one cocktail pour everything into a shaker, fill it with ice and shake it all for about 5 seconds. Strain it into an martini glass.
  3. To make eight cocktails pour everything into a pitcher and stir together. Keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve. Measure out 4-3/4 ounces and shake in an ice-filled shaker for 5 seconds. Strain it into an martini glass. Do each cocktail separately so you can make sure everyone gets the right amount.
