The Detective

You don’t have to be a hard boiled detective buried under piles of case evidence from the city’s most gruesome cases to appreciate this drink. It wouldn’t hurt, but not required.

Ingredients

For Four Cocktails:

1/2cup bourbon(Bulleit preferred)
1/4cup coffee liqueur(such as Kamora)
1/2cup brewed coffeeor espresso (something strong)
1/4cup simple syrup
4 – 6dashes orange bitters

For One Cocktail:

1ounces bourbon(Bulleit preferred)
1/2ounce coffee liqueur(such as Kamora)
1ounce brewed coffeeor espresso (something strong)
1/2ounce simple syrup
1 – 2dashes orange bitters

Instructions

For one cocktail pour everything into a cocktail shaker, fill it with ice, shake it just 7 – 10 times and then strain into a tumbler over fresh ice. If you’re making enough for four stir everything together in a pitcher and shake them individually in 3 ounce amounts and strain over ice.
