Oh, hi. It’s me… David.

I hate writing about myself, but I love writing about food. That goes without saying though, I guess, this being a food blog and all. The type of food you’ll find here is the food that I cook. That may seem like an obvious statement to make, but I say that with more meaning than that this is simply a collection of whatever was for dinner last night. I don’t exclusively cook a specific cuisine, I don’t stick to a specific style, and I don’t prescribe to a specific movement–it’s too constricting. I don’t cook that way because I don’t want to eat that way, and I think a lot of us don’t. I want to eat what I want to eat and cook what I want to cook when I want to cook and eat it. Be it cooking something low and slow, or a day where I need to get in and get out as quickly as possible; whether it’s a day that I’m feeling particularly virtuous and want something healthy, or one where indulgence of the highest caloric disregard is needed; a dish that’s traditional and authentic or something more borrowed; these are the things you’ll find here. Food that’s good enough to share, but so good you won’t want to.
